The Office of CME currently organizes approximately 60 courses each year which are chaired by UCLA faculty members and taught by a combination of UCLA faculty as well as national and international experts in different fields. In addition to the live courses, CME works closely with faculty in the development of CD-ROMs, monographs, videos, audiocassettes, and satellite broadcasts.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education provides educational activities to physicians and other health care professionals that reinforce basic medical knowledge; impart updated information on clinical practice and health care delivery; introduce new ideas, skills, and technology; and disseminate pertinent research findings in order to improve the quality of the health care that is delivered by the participants.

The West Virginia University Health Sciences Center Office of Continuing Education (CE) provides continuing education credit for physicians, nurses, dentists, and other healthcare providers. Many programs offered by the Office of CE provide multidisciplinary opportunities for participants to earn continuing education credits.

A non-profit medical education provider, Medical Education Resources, Inc. (MER) has provided a wide range of fully-accredited CME programs to physicians and other health care professionals, for more than twenty years.

For over 17 years, the American Academy of CME has been committed to upholding the highest standards of excellence in continuing medical education. The Academy holds itself accountable to ensure that all continuing educational programs are of the highest quality and are well balanced, independent, objective, and scientifically rigorous. The Academy takes a collaborative approach to program planning to form a truly successful partnership with its education partners.
